Hails CP Bello Sani’s leadership, PPRO’s transparency, and Birnin Kebbi Division’s swift response
The Security Peace and Development (SPAD) Group has showered praises on the Kebbi State Police Command for what it described as an outstanding demonstration of professionalism and dedication to duty.
This commendation follows the Command’s recent success in recovering stolen farm equipment valued at ₦3.15 million and apprehending the suspects involved in the criminal act.
SPAD, a non-governmental initiative committed to promoting peace and security across Nigeria, said the breakthrough highlights the determination of the police to protect the economic and social well-being of citizens.
In a statement signed by its National Coordinator, Alhaji Onikosi AbdulRasaq Olayiwola, the group noted that the recovery of seven stolen tiller machines was a huge relief for farmers in Kebbi State.
The stolen equipment, according to SPAD, represents more than machinery; it is a lifeline for many farming households whose productivity depends on access to such tools.
The group said the swiftness with which the Divisional Police Headquarters in Birnin Kebbi acted shows that the Command is not only alert but also responsive to the needs of the people.
SPAD also commended the leadership of CP Bello Sani, describing him as a forward-thinking police chief whose administration is steadily restoring public trust in law enforcement.
Equally singled out for praise was the Police Public Relations Officer, CSP Nafi’u Abubakar, whose timely and transparent updates on police operations continue to strengthen the bond between the Force and the public.
The group observed that regular and credible communication builds confidence and encourages citizens to see the police as partners rather than adversaries.
According to SPAD, the operation in Birnin Kebbi is a strong signal to criminal elements that the state will not tolerate acts that undermine safety or threaten livelihoods.
The group emphasized that crime prevention is inseparable from development, noting that when farmers feel secure, the wider society enjoys stability and economic growth.
SPAD urged the Kebbi State Police Command not to rest on its oars but to build on this momentum by sustaining its proactive strategies against criminal networks.
The group also reaffirmed its willingness to collaborate with the police and other stakeholders to achieve a safer and more peaceful Nigeria.
Citizens, it added, must complement the efforts of security operatives by sharing intelligence and remaining vigilant in their communities.
