The Sound Engineer’s Hangout 3.0 delivered on its promise of a groundbreaking experience as sound professionals from across Nigeria converged at the Fola Jinadu Youth Center, Gbagada, on November 17, 2025. The full-day event ran from 10 AM to 6 PM and recorded one of its highest turnouts since the series began.

Another highlight was the Fastest Console Setup Challenge, which tasked engineers with assembling and configuring full sound consoles under strict time pressure. The competition drew loud cheers as participants raced against the clock while maintaining accuracy and signal integrity.
Throughout the day, attendees engaged in technical workshops and panel discussions facilitated by seasoned industry professionals. The sessions covered real-time troubleshooting, console workflow optimization, stage management, and innovations in live audio production.
Mr. Osagie noted that the workshops were designed to address practical challenges common in the field. “Our mission was to ensure every participant left with skills they could apply immediately,” he said.
Beyond learning, the Hangout featured a vibrant exhibition section where audio brands and vendors showcased equipment ranging from microphones and consoles to accessories and software tools. Many vendors offered discounts, product demos, and giveaways.
