Professor Gerald Okeke Ndubuisi,
professor of Climate Change and Environmental Sustainability and a distinguished lecturer has been nominated as one of the prestigious 100Global Impact Personalities of the Year 2025 by the African Intercontinental Network in collaboration with the Federal Ministry of Foreign Affairs..
Professor Okeke’s work has significantly contributed to our understanding of this critical global issue His expertise has likely informed policy decisions raised awareness about climate change impacts and developed innovative solutions to mitigate it’s effects.
The Award ceremony with themed: “Fostering Collaboration for Progressive Impact” is scheduled to hold on September 10 at the Federal Ministry of Foreign Affairs,Abuja.
Professor Okeke who has received numerous awards for championing
and teaching Climate Change and Environmental Sustainability is the first African Professor of Climate Change and Environmental Sustainability.
In the words of the Organisers: “You are nominated in celebration of your
outstanding contributions to Climate Change Research and Education.

Global leaders expected to receive various awards at the ceremony include the United Nations Secretary General Antonio Gutters, United Nations Deputy Secretary General Amina J.Muhammed and
Engnr Dr Cletus Onyemhese Agbakhamen, who has contributed significantly to the infrastructural development, technical innovation and community development in the climate change space.
