The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Lagos State Command, today received the newly appointed Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO) of Lagos State, Superintendent of Police Abimbola Adebisi.
The event, held at the NSCDC State Headquarters, highlighted the commitment of both agencies to inter-agency collaboration and strengthened security networks.
Lagos State Commandant, Mr. Keshinro Adedotun, personally welcomed SP Adebisi and expressed the importance of partnership in enhancing public safety.
The NSCDC’s Public Relations Officer, Superintendent of Corps Oluwaseun Abolurin, also received the visiting Police PRO and extended the Corps’ goodwill.
The engagement was described as a demonstration of esprit de corps, emphasizing the agencies’ dedication to maintaining strong working relationships.
Commandant Adedotun urged both host and visiting PROs to intensify collaboration, noting that such partnerships are essential to sustaining public confidence in security services.
He emphasized that while the NSCDC focuses on protecting Critical National Assets and Infrastructure (CNAI), cooperation with the Nigeria Police Force is crucial for overall security effectiveness.
“Through strategic cooperation, we can support the Police and other agencies in fulfilling their statutory mandates while ensuring the safety of lives and properties,” the Commandant said.
Responding to the reception, SP Abimbola Adebisi expressed gratitude for the warm welcome she received from the NSCDC team.
She highlighted the importance of joint efforts in crime prevention and de-escalation, stressing that collaboration could yield significant results in reducing crime across Lagos State.
The Police PRO commended the NSCDC for its ongoing commitment to public safety and pledged to work closely with the Corps in future initiatives.
Both agencies discussed the potential for joint public sensitization campaigns aimed at building community trust and encouraging citizen engagement in reporting crime.
