The Nigerian Air Force has struck a decisive blow against terrorism in the northeast, executing a precision strike on a notorious terrorist enclave in Sambisa.

The operation, carried out on 19 November 2025, targeted ARRA, a known hideout for insurgents, under the direction of the Chief of the Air Staff.

This was not a spontaneous attack. It followed weeks of painstaking intelligence gathering after insurgents ambushed Nigerian troops at Kashomri on 17 October.

Persistent surveillance and reconnaissance missions monitored terrorist movements, uncovering suspicious activity and fortified structures at ARRA.

Analysts worked meticulously to verify targets, ensuring the forthcoming strike would be both precise and effective, minimizing risks to civilians.

With intelligence confirming the location and strength of insurgent positions, the Air Component of the Joint Task Force Operation HADIN KAI moved swiftly into action.

NAF air assets executed coordinated strikes in successive passes, targeting key structures and logistic points critical to terrorist operations.

The mission achieved its objective: all designated targets were destroyed, delivering a severe blow to the terrorists’ command and operational capabilities.

Military experts say the strike will significantly disrupt insurgent planning, logistics, and coordination across the Sambisa area.

For ground troops operating in the region, this precision air strike provides a tactical advantage, weakening the enemy before direct engagements.

Air Commodore Ehimen Ejodame, Director of Public Relations and Information, described the operation as a “deliberate, intelligence-driven strike that underscores the Air Force’s commitment to national security.”

He emphasized that the Nigerian Air Force remains resolute in its mission to neutralize threats, defend territorial integrity, and secure lasting peace for citizens.

The operation also sends a clear message to terrorist elements: the NAF has the capability, reach, and resolve to strike wherever threats arise.

For communities affected by insurgency, the success of this mission offers hope that relentless pressure from the Air Force can create safer, more stable regions.

As Operation HADIN KAI continues, the Nigerian Air Force remains vigilant, ready to protect the nation and ensure that peace and security prevail across all theatres of operation.
