The Nigerian Association of Chambers of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture (NACCIMA) has announced the appointment of respected business strategist and architect, Arc. Zakirudeen Oladotun, as its China Relations Executive. The appointment was confirmed in an official letter signed by the Director General of NACCIMA, Engr. Olusola Obadimu, and dated November 25, 2025.
According to the DG, the decision followed Oladotun’s outstanding contributions during NACCIMA’s participation at the 138th Canton Fair in Guangzhou, China. His leadership at the international event, officials said, significantly enhanced the visibility and engagement level of the Nigerian delegation.
Engr. Obadimu explained that Oladotun played a central role in organising the NACCIMA Business Forum held on the sidelines of the fair. The forum reportedly opened doors for high-level interactions with Chinese businesses and exposed Nigerian enterprises to major international trade opportunities.
In the DG’s words, Oladotun’s “dedication, resourcefulness, and deep passion for strengthening Nigeria-China economic cooperation” were evident throughout the engagement in China. These qualities, he noted, contributed immensely to the success of the delegation’s mission.
Arc. Oladotun, a versatile entrepreneur with more than 20 years of professional experience, currently serves as the Chief Executive Officer of Trends Group of Companies. His career spans architecture, planning, project development, and strategic business management.
He also doubles as the Chairman of the Nigerian Association of Small and Medium Enterprises (NASME), Kwara State chapter, where he has been actively involved in promoting SME growth and capacity building across the state.
With a track record of sustaining high-level relationships across multiple countries, Oladotun has built strong networks in China’s public and private sectors.
His long-standing engagement with Chinese institutions is expected to be a major asset in his new role.
Oladotun is also a certified Business Development Service Provider in Nigeria, accredited by the National Steering Committee for Business Development Service Providers, further positioning him as an important technical resource for trade facilitation.
In his new assignment, he will lead NACCIMA’s efforts to deepen private-sector cooperation between Nigeria and China, driving new business opportunities, trade missions, and investment partnerships for member organisations.
He has additionally been designated as the official coordinator of NACCIMA’s participation in all future Canton Fairs and other business engagements in the People’s Republic of China, a move expected to strengthen Nigeria’s footprint in one of the world’s largest trade ecosystems.
