The Lagos State Security Trust Fund (LSSTF) on Thursday intensified its push for stronger private-sector collaboration as its Executive Secretary/CEO, Dr. Ayodele Ogunsan, met with senior executives of Compton Nigeria Support Services Limited in Ikeja.
The meeting, held at the LSSTF headquarters, marked another coordinated effort to reinforce Lagos’ security architecture amid rising demand for smarter and more adaptive safety solutions.
The Compton Nigeria delegation was led by its Managing Director, Mr. Tim Hepworth, accompanied by Director, Mr. Michael Ladipo, both of whom have been engaging with strategic institutions across the country.

Dr. Ogunsan, in his remarks, underscored the Fund’s central role in bridging the gap between government agencies and businesses that have demonstrated commitment to enhancing public safety.
He noted that Lagos, with its population size and economic significance, requires security models driven by collaboration, innovation, and shared responsibility.
“Security is a collective responsibility,” Ogunsan said, emphasizing that multi-sector partnerships remain crucial for operational efficiency and rapid-response capabilities.
He highlighted that the LSSTF was established not only to support security agencies materially but also to foster a strategic network of partners capable of strengthening resilience across the state.
The LSSTF boss added that with emerging threats and evolving crime trends, Lagos must rely on collaborations that blend technology, manpower, and private expertise.
Responding, Compton’s Managing Director, Hepworth, commended LSSTF for maintaining an open-door engagement strategy that accommodates credible stakeholders.
He acknowledged the crucial impact of the Fund’s interventions, particularly in empowering security agencies and enhancing frontline operations across the state.
Hepworth said Compton Nigeria is prepared to deploy advanced security-support systems, including technology-driven tools designed to boost response efficiency.
He further expressed the company’s readiness to assist with logistics, capacity enhancement, and specialized solutions tailored to the needs of operatives in the field.
The visit, according to observers, reinforces the rising importance of public-private collaboration as Lagos continues to navigate complex urban-security challenges.
With both institutions reaffirming commitment to joint action, the meeting is seen as another step toward a more coordinated framework for securing lives, property, and critical infrastructure in Africa’s busiest commercial hub.
