On July 7, 2025, a report was received from a car dealer, Abdulqadir Abdurrahman, about a notorious thief and car snatcher, Shamsu Yusuf, who had snatched a gold-colored Toyota Corolla 2013 model from Bashir Ridwan of Dangari Motors at Gadon Kaya Quarters, Kano, while on a test drive.
Following the report, the police launched an investigation and tracked down the suspects. On July 17, 2025, the operatives arrested the principal suspect, Shamsu Yusuf, and his two accomplices. The stolen vehicle was recovered from the suspects.
