Inspector-General of Police, Kayode Adeolu Egbetokun, Ph.D, NPM, has described a newly launched book on policy dissemination as an important contribution to Nigeria’s national conversation on governance and informed decision-making.
The book, Articles on Policy Dissemination: Navigating the Management Decision on Issues, was unveiled on Tuesday at the Federal Ministry of Education Conference Hall in Abuja.
The author, Bolaji O. Kazeem, is the Deputy Director and Head of the Information and Public Relations Unit at the Ministry of Police Affairs.
The event drew senior government officials, academics, journalists, and policymakers from across the country.
Senator Ibrahim Gaidam, Minister of Police Affairs, hosted the launch but was represented by the ministry’s Permanent Secretary, Dr. Anuma Ogbonnaya Nila.
The Minister of Information and National Orientation, Alhaji Mohammed Idris, also sent a representative to the ceremony.

The Inspector-General of Police, Egbetokun, Ph.D, was represented by the Assistant Inspector-General in charge of Zone 7, Victor Bolaji Olaiya.
In his remarks, Egbetokun commended the author for addressing issues crucial to effective communication within Nigeria’s policy environment.
He said the book would “positively impact national discourse” and encouraged Nigerians to support works that deepen institutional understanding.
According to him, informed communication is essential in strengthening public trust and improving governance structures.
The book launch also provided a platform for discourse on transparency, accountability, and the role of public information in national development.
Speakers noted that Kazeem, a veteran journalist and public relations professional, has contributed substantially to Nigeria’s communication landscape.
Kazeem has written several books and has been honoured by journalists, legal practitioners, and political leaders for his work in promoting responsible communication.
The launch further highlighted the importance of professional writing and evidence-based analysis in shaping national decision-making.
Guests said the event demonstrated the vibrancy of Nigeria’s intellectual community and its role in strengthening democratic governance.
