The Governor of Ondo State, Dr. Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa, has sworn in a new batch of commissioners into the State Executive Council. The swearing-in ceremony was held on Monday, July 14, 2025, at the International Centre for Culture and Events (The Dome), Igbatoro Road, Akure.

The governor highlighted some of the achievements of his administration, including initiating projects, improving the infrastructural base of the state, and enhancing the lives of citizens through various socio-economic welfare programs. On security, Dr. Aiyedatiwa emphasized his government’s commitment to fighting criminality. He cited the recent approval of a bill seeking stiffer penalties, including the death sentence, for kidnappers and abductors. The governor assured the people of Ondo State that his administration would continue to prioritize security and ensure the safety of lives and property.
