A lifeless body was discovered on Sunday, September 7, 2025, inside a parked car at the National Assembly Complex in Abuja, prompting an immediate police investigation.
The incident occurred around 9 a.m. when the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Police Command received a distress call alerting them to the presence of the body.
According to a police statement, the deceased was an unidentified male, suspected to be a labourer working within the complex.
Officers from the National Assembly Police Division, led by the Divisional Police Officer (DPO), promptly responded to the report.
On arrival, the officers discovered the body inside a red Peugeot 406 with registration number BWR-577 BF.
The vehicle was reportedly parked close to a construction site within the premises of the legislative complex.
The body was later evacuated to Asokoro General Hospital by police personnel.
