The Commissioner of Police, Kano State Command, CP Ibrahim Adamu Bakori, PhD, has addressed newly passed-out police constables deployed to the Command from various police training colleges across the country.
In his message of welcome, CP Bakori congratulated the new officers on successfully completing their intensive training and joining the ranks of the Nigeria Police Force.
He described their passing out as a proud achievement that marks the beginning of a lifetime of service to the nation, characterized by dedication, sacrifice, and professionalism.
The Commissioner reminded the officers that the Nigeria Police Force is a noble institution built on discipline, courage, and loyalty to duty, values they must uphold at all times.
He emphasized that discipline remains the cornerstone of effective policing and urged the new constables to conduct themselves responsibly both in and out of uniform.
CP Bakori charged them to be law-abiding, respect lawful orders from superiors, and maintain a high level of professionalism in all their official assignments.
He also advised the constables to maintain a neat appearance and be worthy ambassadors of the Nigeria Police Force while serving in their various duty posts.
The Commissioner cautioned the officers against misuse of social media, reminding them of the Nigeria Police Force’s strict Social Media Policy.
He warned that recording, posting, or sharing videos and pictures while in uniform or on duty is prohibited, as it undermines the professionalism and image of the Force.
CP Bakori further warned the newly deployed constables against corruption and misconduct, stressing that the Command maintains a zero-tolerance policy for unethical behavior.
He reiterated that integrity and accountability are non-negotiable values that every police officer must uphold to earn the trust and confidence of the public.
The Police Commissioner encouraged the officers to approach their duties with diligence, fairness, and respect for human rights in the communities they will serve.
He assured them that the Kano State Police Command would provide the necessary support and guidance as they settle into their various Local Government Areas of indigenes.
CP Bakori expressed optimism that with commitment and professionalism, the officers would distinguish themselves in service and retire honorably after a fulfilling career.
