
As the Actors Guild of Nigeria (AGN) Lagos chapter gears up for its upcoming election, actress Jane Thomas-Rogers has publicly announced her endorsement of Amb. Cornell Udofia for the position of Public Relations Officer (PRO). Thomas-Rogers, in a statement released on various social media platforms, cited Udofia’s mentorship, skill development, and commitment to youth empowerment as key reasons for her support.
“I want to declare my full support for my boss and mentor, Amb. Cornell Udofia,” Thomas-Rogers stated. “He has mentored me, provided me with a platform, recognition, and equipped me with the skills I can proudly boast of today.”
Thomas-Rogers emphasized Udofia’s extensive experience in public relations and his track record of empowering youth through his organizations, including Cornell Media Consult, CMC Gladiators, and Cornell Entertainment. She highlighted Udofia’s reputation as a sought-after PR professional, noting his work with prominent celebrities such as Jim Iyke, Tonto Dikeh, and Ini Edo.
“Beyond Amb. Cornell’s PR expertise, he has consistently trained, mentored, and empowered countless youth through his organizations,” Thomas-Rogers explained. “Given his profile, I confidently urge everyone to vote for Amb. Cornell Udofia, to elevate the association and the Lagos State chapter to the heights it deserves.”
Thomas-Rogers also highlighted her personal experience, stating she received free scholarships at Zeb Ejiro Film Academy through the CMC Gladiators platform. She expressed optimism that Udofia’s election would lead to more opportunities for aspiring actors, focusing on training, mentoring, and empowerment.
“I am calling on all those who love growth and success, and all who are passionate about youth empowerment, to rally around Amb. Cornell Udofia and ensure he assumes the office of the PRO Lagos Chapter,” Thomas-Rogers concluded. “By electing him, we can help lift our youth out of poverty and provide them with opportunities to succeed in life.
The AGN Lagos chapter election is scheduled for 15th August, 2025 and members will vote to select their new leadership. The role of PRO is vital for managing the guild’s public image and fostering positive relationships with the media and the public.
